MARK HUNTING
Your goal in this somewhat big side-quest is to defeat 45 Mark monsters.
Marks are the monsters that you are asked to hunt by Petitioners. By Looking at the individual Hunt Bill on the Noticboard, you can determine the Mark's vital statistics, including its name and rank. There are eight different ranks of Marks I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, with I being the easiest and VIII being the hardest.
Generally Marks are much more powerful then your general foe you will face on the field for the area it is in.

| For it to appear you need the sum of the active party members' current MP to be 90% or more of the sum of their maximum MP. Use physical attacks until the Mark only has 20% HP, at which point it will completely restore its HP and MP, raise its level and boost itself with several positive status effects. Use Dispel and have equipped a Power Armlet or use Choronos Tears to counter Stop that it likes to use. When it reaches 15% HP let lose a chain of Quickenings if possible. | ||||

| This Mark favours status ailments, so try to prevent this by casting Silence and Immobilise at the start. It will also attempt Invert so counter this by casting Reflect on your party, that does mean however you can now only heal yourself with items but at this point of the game it should not be hard to buy them. For the first 50% of its health you are free to do heavy damage on it with Ice based Magicks but once it hits 50% it becomes immune to all Magicks so if you have any Ice-imbued weapons, use them as it is weak against Ice. | ||||
